Match Funds Unlocked = More Lives Changed

Thanks to our generous match fund donors, we were able to offer a 1:1 match on donations to GiveDirectly, Living Goods and our Education For All and Transform Lives Funds during our 2023 giving season matching campaigns.

THE RESULTS ARE IN:

GiveDirectly $100,000 match: In our matching campaign benefiting GiveDirectly, $100,000 in individual donations unlocked a match pool of equal value and helped fund 192 of the 229 Rwandan families of the remote Bikereri village!
Education For All Fund $25,000 match with Humanitix.org: In our matching campaign benefiting our Education for All Fund, $25,000 in individual donations unlocked a a 1:1 match from Humantix.org and raised $50,000 for our recommended nonprofits Educate Girls and Teaching at the Right Level Africa.
Transform Lives Fund $25,000 match with Rich Roll: Our matching campaign benefiting our Transform Lives Fund, which was featured on the Rich Roll podcast, resulted in over $26,000 in individual donations, which unlocked an additional $25,000 match.
Living Goods $10,000 match: In our matching campaign benefitting Living Goods, over $11,500 in individual donations successfully unlocked a $10,000 match.

SWEDISH TRANSLATION OF THE LIFE YOU CAN SAVE BOOK LAUNCHED

We would like to give special thanks to Ge Effektivt and Fri Tanke for hosting the launch of a new Swedish translation of The Life You Can Save in Stockholm on January 17th.

The event featured a thought-provoking conversation with Ge Effecktivt Executive Director Sofie Sjöstran, Swedish author Erik Angner, and musician José González, who also graced the event with lovely musical performances.

But I assume that, like me, you also don’t view yourself as driven by self-sacrifice. That’s why the term “altruism” has never resonated with me, despite my connection to the effective altruist (EA) movement.”
