A Milestone Moment: 10 Years and More than $100 Million Raised

As a valued supporter of The Life You Can Save, I wanted to take a moment to express our gratitude for your support and generosity over the years. In December 2023, we celebrated our 10th anniversary, marking a significant milestone in our journey to alleviate global poverty. At the same time, we also surpassed US$100 million in total funds raised for our recommended charities since our founding in 2013

We couldn’t be more proud of the collective efforts of our team, partners, and generous supporters that helped make this achievement possible, and we’re excited to see what the next decade holds.

A New Chapter with New Changes

We are thrilled to share some exciting updates with you as we embark on the next chapter of our mission.

RE-IMAGINING IMPACT: AN UPDATED EVALUATION FRAMEWORK

Our in-house research team has been hard at work updating our charity evaluation framework to ensure that we recommend nonprofits that deliver high-impact interventions across all dimensions of poverty. In addition to integrating the latest evidence-based research, our updated framework now uses the global multidimensional poverty index (MPI) to inform our understanding and definition of poverty.

SHAPING THE FUTURE: NEW LEADERSHIP

I am pleased to announce that former Silicon Valley executives Jessica and Andrea La Mesa will co-lead The Life You Can Save into its next decade. Their passion for innovation and impact, coupled with their expertise in impact investing, technology, and philanthropy, make them invaluable additions to our team.
